UnAuthorized Credit Card Charges
Have You Received a Charge to Your Credit Card by the Name DrCoach?
Beginning July 2009, I began receiving calls and emails from angry people saying they had been charged amounts of $19.95 and $29.95 by my business. I was completely baffled because I do not sell products online nor do I sell any products of this amount. One of the victims of this was able after much research to find that the true biller is a business called WellnessWatchersMD.
What is Happening?
WellnessWatchersMD is billing people who have requested their services and the credit card bills read “DrCoach”.
What Can You Do?
Call the Chief Financial Officer of WellnessWatchersMD, Chris Munson, 512-923-5462 and speak with him about your situation.
If you feel you have been wrongly charged by WellnessWatchersMD and do not receive satisfaction, I suggest you report them to the Better Businesss Bureau
You may also like to review other complaints against WellnessWatchersMD at Complaints Board.
I have also contacted the Founder of Debix.com, Bo Holland (a specialist in fraud) who advises the following:
- Have your card issuing bank look up the merchant information. The bank can often see more info on the merchant than what appears on the statement.
- Charge back the transaction through your bank
- File a complaint with the attorney general in the state where Wellnesswatch operates.(this appears to be Tennessee) We find that the Attorney General will act with upon receiving just a few consumer complaints
Help Me Out
I have also attempted emailing and calling the company to request they remove my business name from their billing. For weeks I received no response. Recently, I did reach Chris Munson, their chief financial officer who says they will remove my name from their billing.
You can help me too by including in your complaint that DrCoach.com is being wrongly used in billing and that my business is not the culprit here. Thanks so much!
